The POWER of Sketch

This session is from a past Virtual Math Summit, however I want to encourage you to practice your own sketchnoting because we have a session at the 2025 summit that shows how to help your students learn math vocabulary through the use of sketching. It's important for you to try it out so then you can help your students.

If a picture is worth 1,000 words, then imagine how powerful sketchnoting can be for you and your students! Even if you don't consider yourself an artist, sketchnoting could be just what you are looking for. Simple images and symbols are widely understood, no matter what language you speak. Integrating visual notetaking into your classroom can help all learners succeed. Come explore the fun and power of sketchnotes!
