"So much is going on and time is flying, but every time I sign on I learn so much to share with my staff and friends. I love being a part of this community."
Rachael -- Elementary Math Coach
"Being a part of the Build Math Minds community have been quite transformational in my ability and knowledge to teach 1st grade. I wasn't sure exactly how to backfill those skills and concepts they were missing. I wasn't even always sure what skills and concepts they were missing. So I feel quite confident now, knowing how to address the needs that some of my students have.
Kristin -- 1st Grade Teacher
"I so wish I had found Build Math Minds years ago! This summer I have learned so much and can't wait to use that knowledge with my Title 1 Students that need extreme catch up on experiences and gaps they have missed!"
Christine -- 2nd Grade Teacher
"I've learned so much from all of Christina's videos. I never knew what to do to help my students before. I never understood what they were missing."
Caryn -- MS Special Ed
"I really wanted to make sure I had a good chunk of time to digest and absorb all of the amazing content in BMM! As a full time teacher and a mom of three it is hard to find extra time for PD! However, having access to all of the MATH GOLD in the Membership is WONDERFUL! I was able to take time out of my fall and winter breaks to make time for ME and my own MATH MIND! Now I have a notebook FULL of ideas to take into my classroom and also share with the two teachers I mentor! I am so excited to use all of this good information!"
Nancy -- Kindergarten Teacher
What is the time commitment?
The amount of time you spend in the PD site is up to you. There are hundreds of PD videos and lots of resources to explore.
You also have access to past webinars, free trainings, and past Virtual Math Summits. So, you could spend time watching those as well.
What grade level is this for?
The content inside the PD site spans the grade bands from Pre-K through 5th grade.
Either way, it is a fundamental belief of mine that we all should learn about content in grades above and below the grades we teach to help us understand where our kids are coming from and where they will be going.
Can I just buy one enrollment but share the videos with my staff?
Kind of...If you are a math coach or teacher leader and plan to use the content during your PLCs or other collaboration times, you are welcome to show videos (from your account) during that time.
However, because of the way the system works, you should NOT share your login information. The system tracks what videos are watched and you can earn PD credits for that. If you share your login, vidoes that others watch will show up as complete in your account. To get a group of teachers their own login, your school can visit our school registration site to see group pricing.
Do you take Purchase Orders?
We take purchase orders when a school purchases a yearly enrollment. We don't take purchase orders for monthly enrollments.
If your school wants to purchase a yearly enrollment, visit the School Registration Site or email us your purchase order.
Why is this a recurring fee and not a one-time fee?
Some sites are a one-time fee to join and you get access to everything they have, forever. But all you get is the stuff that they have already created and they aren't adding anything new.
In this PD site, you get new trainings every year. There are trainings that are in there already and you have access to right away, but there will always be new content being created and added.
Can I get a certificate of completion or PD credits?
When you watch videos, the site marks them as 'complete' which allows us to track the amount of time you spend watching PD videos. You also need to keep track of it so that when you reach increments of 15 hours you can send in your request for a certificate of completion for that many hours and/or enroll with the accredited university we work with to earn PD credits from them.
If you want to get a year of access with a Purchase Order or have a large group of teachers wanting to enroll, go HERE.
